Terms of Service

1. Nature of the Service

VerifyLand provides digital geospatial analysis, mapping, and physical inspection facilitation for real estate due diligence in Nigeria. We do not provide legal advice, nor do we act as legal counsel. Our Verification Certificates and Risk Reports are designed to aid your independent due diligence and should always be verified alongside your legal practitioner.

2. User Responsibilities & Accuracy

The accuracy of our digital verification relies entirely on the GPS coordinates or Survey Plan data you input into the system.

• You acknowledge that entering incorrect, estimated, or malicious coordinates will result in an inaccurate report.
• VerifyLand shall not be held liable for any financial loss, land disputes, or purchasing errors resulting from user-inputted errors.
• A "Verified" status means the coordinates match the geographical claims; it does not guarantee legal title, ownership, or absence of government acquisition unless explicitly stated by a physical surveyor.
• A Snapshot in Time: A 'Verified' report reflects the status of the land at the exact time the search is conducted. The fact that a property is free from government acquisition or disputes today does not guarantee it will remain free tomorrow. The government retains the legal right to revoke or acquire any land for overriding public interest under the Land Use Act at any time, and VerifyLand shall not be held liable for any future government actions or policy changes.

3. Payments and No-Refund Policy

All payments for digital Verification Reports, Credits, and Subscriptions are processed securely via Paystack.

• Because our service incurs immediate third-party API and server costs the moment a search is executed, all sales are final.
• We do not offer refunds once a Verification Report or Certificate has been generated.

4. Physical Inspections

If you book a Physical Inspection through our platform, we will deploy a certified surveyor to the coordinates provided.

• You must ensure the land is generally safe and accessible.
• If our surveyor cannot access the land due to community disputes ("community land grabbers and local disputes."), hostile environments, or severe weather, the inspection will be marked as attempted, and partial or full charges may still apply to cover logistics and risk.

5. Affiliate & Referral Program

Users who participate in our "Refer & Earn" program are subject to the following rules:

• Escrow Period: All earned commissions are subject to a mandatory clearing period before becoming available for withdrawal.
• Minimum Payout: Withdrawals can only be requested once your "Ready Balance" reaches the minimum threshold set in your dashboard.
• Fraud & Chargebacks: We reserve the right to instantly reverse any commissions, suspend accounts, and push wallet balances into negative debt if we detect fraudulent transactions, self-referrals, or credit card chargebacks from the referred buyer.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, VerifyLand, its founders, and its partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages—including loss of profits, data, or real estate investments—arising from your use of our platform or your reliance on our Verification Reports.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
